Witam,
dzisiaj pora na nową dawkę słówek, z którymi osoby uczące się języka angielskiego mogą mieć pewne problemy. Chodzi bowiem o wyrażenia kolokwialne.  W tym poście omówimy słownictwo związane z przyimkiem ‚at’. Ok, zaczynamy 🙂

AT:

• at best – w najlepszym razie/ przypadku; (EN. under the best circumstance)

e.g. At best, the men will finish the job next week.

• at last – wreszcie, nareszcie, w końcu; (EN. finally)

e.g. We waited and waited till at last he arrived.

• at least – co najmniej, przynajmniej; (EN. in the last degree)

e.g. Everyone should sleep at least eight hours a night.

• at most – (co) najwyżej; (EN. at maximum)

e.g. I shall return this book in two days at most.

• at once – od razu; (EN. immediately)

e.g. She told him to leave the room at once.

• at times – czasami, niekiedy; (EN. occasionally)

e.g. At times Bob does much better work.
